  • The Evian Babies Are Back In New Dancin with Baby & Me Ad

The Evian Babies Are Back In New Dancin with Baby & Me Ad

Evian follows up the incredibly successful Roller Babies ad with the launch of the new Baby & Me ad/film.

Press: The newest video campaign from evian continues to focus on the brand’s longstanding commitment to the Live Young® lifestyle: that youth is not a matter of age; it’s an attitude. Baby & Me aims to offer another vividly entertaining moment that shows us a reflection of our own personalities and inner youth. Characters in the video are seen walking through a busy street when they suddenly meet with their inner babies in storefront window reflections. Upon the initial discovery, the adult characters begin to interact with their inner babies resulting in an energetic virtual dance off with themselves, demonstrating the feeling of freedom, of letting go and spontaneity that Living young triggers.
“The babies embody ‘Live Young’, the evian mantra, and remind us that we are all youthful in our own, unique way. Babies are also the ultimate symbol of natural purity, exactly what evian water is. This is why we are so excited to continue this iconic campaign in a fresh and entertaining way“said Jerome Goure, Vice President of Marketing for Danone.
Produced by award-winning creative agency BETC, and directed by We are from LA, the Baby & Me video is remixed by electronic music producer, Yuksek for evian. 90’s dance hit “Here comes the Hotstepper” serves as the soundtrack to the new film, which instantaneously brings the energy of the video to life.
In addition to the Baby & Me video, evian will be launching a Baby & Me application mid-May. Available on Android, iPhones and Facebook, fans will be able to meet their own inner baby. Developed by BETC Digital and software company, B-Reel, the application uses advanced facial recognition software allowing users to take their own photo and those of friends and upload to the application, which will then “babified” and reveal your inner baby. Photos can be uploaded to Facebook and Twitter to share with their friends, using #EVIANBABYANDME, which will be a globally used hashtag.

  • Beautiful Babies Star in "My First Friend" by Huggies

Beautiful Babies Star in "My First Friend" by Huggies

In order to provide everybody the chance to celebrate Friendship Day with a friend, Ogilvy & Mather Argentina developed with Huggies an original idea, putting together two infants to share this special day in a very particular way.

With Maximiliano Maddalena and Javier Mentasti as ECDs, the agency designed a special crib so that on Friendship Day two newborn babies could spend this event together. The idea was registered at the Bazterrica Clinic and was supported by the baby's parents, obstetricians and nurses.

In order to accompany each family during the last minutes before giving birth, the agency got involved with the obstetricians and couples who were expecting their babies to be born on Friendship Day. We shared with them the anxiety of all the previous preparations and their way to the hospital. Few hours after the babies were born, they both had their first friend right alongside.

The song and music are just perfect and really make the film that much better, if anyone has the song title please share.

  • Wilkinson Sword – “First impression” Advert

Wilkinson Sword – “First impression” Advert

Babies, Beards and Vikings in a Shaving Ad with a Difference. Labamba and Cobblestone turn to history in funny new spot for Wilkinson Sword. Fashionishtas may be busy debating whether or not we’ve reached ‘peak beard’, but if you want a definitive answer on the status of facial fuzz your best bet is to ask a baby. And they are positively pognophobic.

This new Wilkinson Sword campaign from Hamburg agency Labamba and production company Cobblestone capitalises on the historically fraught relationship between babies and beards in a new campaign designed to persuade dads to ditch their whiskers.
Director Robert Nylund takes us from shaggy caveman to hairy hipster in an amusing spot that takes an unusual approach to advertising men’s razors. Rather than appealing to vanity or using an aspirational strategy (sports stars, models), the campaign is more down to earth and focuses on men’s real relationships with their families.

But they might as well be aliens. There is still so much we don't know about many of them: what do they look like as babies? Where do they grow? What do they eat?

  • Rock Girl: Sable Starr

    Rock Girl: Sable Starr

    Sable Starr

    Sable Starr

Okay, so maybe I will never actually dress (or act) like Sable Starr, the "supergroupie" who, in the 1970s, was notoriously linked to such stars as David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Johnny Thunders of the New York Dolls. I do, however, totally love this photo of her here:

    Sable-Starr and Iggy Pop

    Sable Starr and Iggy Pop

How great is that little ensemble? I love the hat and sunglasses, and the shirt is too cute. It's crazy to think that Sable Starr and other teenage girls flaunted their way onto the rock scene at as early as thirteen years old! They sure had guts.

I recently read an article entitled "Rock Groupies and Feminism" on Rachel Rabbit White's website, where I learned a lot about the "groupie babies" of the 1970s. Did you know that there was even a magazine (that ran for only five issues) centered around groupie lifestyle? The magazine was called Star, and you can find excerpts of it here.

I totally admire this chick for owning her style. She wasn't shy about taking risks or wearing something crazy to get attention, and that's pretty cool. I'm looking forward to reading more about Starr's very unique teenage lifestyle and her escapades across LA.
